Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in New BOSY 2020-2021 Facilities
1. What should be the date of Official Enrollment (DOOE)?
Answer: There is no specific date, because this is the date of confirmation from parent or guardian that the learner is certain and the decision to participate in learning sessions in whatever mode is considered final. Unlike the previously 'Date of First Attendance' where mostly it coincides with the first day of school, 'Date of Official Enrollment' depends on the confirmation from the parent/guardian when the parent/guardian assures to the teacher-adviser that the student will 100% go to the school and attend his or her class in the coming school year 2020-2021. Date of Official Enrolment does not have to be the same and most probably different from other students.
2. What should I do if the parent/guardian has not confirmed yet after submitting the LESF (Enrolment Form)?
Answer: It is recommended to contact the parent/guardian through text, call or chat for the confirmation. The moment the parent/guardian confirms the enrolment, take note the date as the student has officially been enrolled.
3. What if the student decided to transfer out before the opening of classes?
Answer: After confirmation from the parent/guardian that the student will surely transfer to other school, as confirmed, do not enroll the student in the LIS BOSY despite that he/she submitted an LESF (Enrolment Form).
4. What should I do with those who were not tagged in LIS LESF (new kinder, 'balik-aral', etc.)
Answer: They should be tagged in the LIS BOSY. 'No one will be left behind.' To those who does not have Learner Reference Number (LRN) yet, just keep their LESF in the meantime.
5. What should I do if the learner was officially enrolled in their previous school, but said school failed to encode the learner in the LIS or the student attended non-formal education and will be attending formal education this year?
Answer: Gather the important information and enrolment documents such as the last school attended (School ID), last school year attended, and last grade level. For ALS students, secure the certification (PEPT/PVT)/Accreditation/Equivalency Exam and Reference No. and forward it to the school Registrar to facilitate the approval of enrolment of learners with Enrolment Gaps to be sent by the Administrative Assistant (Liaison Officer) to the School Division Office.
You may now start enrolling your students in the LIS BOSY facilities. Happy Encoding!
